With a pleasing balance of romance comedy and drama sliding doors is an exceedingly original story that appeals to both the heart and mind. Gwyneth paltrow plays london publicist helen effortlessly sliding between parallel storylines that show what happens if she does or does not catch a train back to her apartment. Although gwyneth paltrow plays the same character in both aspects of the story both helens seem completely different. This film is a lightweight comedy drama with a unique story.

In the other she misses it because she s delayed and the doors slide shut in her face. Playing with alternate realities a woman s life takes two. This was before she became an object of scorn and outright hatred for many people a stance which tells more about their pettiness than anything about the actress.
